Air Freight Containers, otherwise known as Unit Load Devices (ULD) are robust aluminium pallets or containers used to transport air cargo. There are 21 different ULD’s used to ship over 188,000 million tonnes of air freight annually across a variety of different aircraft of all shapes & sizes. These standardised ULDs make it possible to secure cargo in the aircraft whilst also making it easy to load large quantities of goods in a short time with low labor costs. Some air-freight containers also have built-in cooling systems for temperature controlled cargo.
